Dance for Health

November 20, 2017 Written by: Kelly Nygard

I recently came across this article in Curious Minds detailing the findings of a study that reveals that dancing is the number one form of exercise to slow the aging process.  I posted the article on the SilverSneakers Instructors Facebook group page, asking who incorporates dance into their senior fitness classes.  I  had so many fun and interesting comments on it.

One of my favorites:  “I do. I also incorporate some dance days into my non-dance fitness senior classes. They may grumble that they “can’t dance”, but I tell them how good it is for their brain and to just go with it.”

It just goes to show, that some things never change – no matter how old we get!
