“At my age (83) your attention span becomes erratic. Most of these exercises were recommended by a therapist for home exercises. But after 5-6 minutes, other things seem to be more enjoyable, so the structured routine and companionship of this type of class really helps, both physically and mentally. I think the class provides a chance to challenge myself and constantly improve my physical condition. I have noticed a great improvement in my muscle tone. Over all I feel these sessions have been a great help for me.”

Hi Kara! I am so excited to be able to participate in the Evergreen-Richardson exercise program offered by Live 2 B Healthy® which is now offered via "Streaming" technology. In the past, I have not been able to participate in your program; but currently, I am grateful to be getting a great workout in my own apartment! Socializing of any kind is great for mental health...just "seeing" and / or communicating with someone / others can be quite uplifting
My hope is that Live 2 B Healthy® will be able to continue the "Streaming" opportunity when the social-distancing period in our nation is lifted. (You may use my picture which was taken this year just a few days after my 80th birthday.)

I have attended every session of this program since it began at the Ecumen Oaks and Pines in Hutchinson. After a little more than two months I have improved strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. My ability to rise from a chair has changed from being a struggle with several attempts to a single effort.
Christa leads our group with clear directions and demonstrations as she exercises along with us. The entire hour is paced within our abilities and with her reminders that our individual performances are our program.
Each of us is welcomed by name as we come and late arrivals smoothly assisted to join. We are praised and encouraged while we progress through each activity and individually thanked and given a high-five at the end. She also tells us she loves coming here and meeting with us and her radiant smile just beams.
From my observations we work diligently throughout the session but at the same time we are enjoying ourselves a lot. I am amazed at the very marked progress each of have made with the three times a week sessions each lasting an hour.
Our exercise periods always begin and end on time, something we and our families can count on.

With my arthritis, if I don’t exercise at all, I do get more stiff, but with all my bone surgeries, I do need to be careful at which exercises I do and the personal trainer knows that.
