A key component of our program is Flexibility. We help our class participants develop Flexibility & we are Flexible in how we deliver our programs to you!
Live 2 B Healthy® classes can hold up to twenty-five senior residents (depending upon the space provided), and are held several times weekly. Unlike gatherings led by an Activities Director, our classes are taught by Certified Trainers who know the proper exercise progressions to help seniors regain their Balance, Strength & Flexibility.
Our programs are proven to improve wellness through: Physical, Social, Emotional, Spiritual, Environmental, & Intellectual factors.
Listed below are a sample of the variety of class formats that we offer. Many of our classes will combine key elements of a variety of different formats, and Live 2 B Healthy® is always searching out new types of programs, so if you have something in mind – just ask! Remember – we are flexible!
Strength & Balance
Our most popular format, Strength & Balance combines an ever-changing sequence of movements, often utilizing a chair, either for balance or for seated exercises. Participants will use loops, bands and mini-balls to build muscles that will help them perform activities of daily life.
Yoga is important for helping to maintain and build flexibility and balance - both of which will help keep your residents on their feet and prevent falls! Sequences also help build mindfulness and can help alleviate symptoms of depression.
We have certified Aqua Fitness instructors for your pools! We can even provide lifeguard staff if requested. Our seasonal outdoor pool customers love us, because they can make full use of their lovely pools, without having to re-allocate staff from year-round positions.
Live 2 B Healthy® provides a comprehensive, flexible, 100% outsourced Wellness Program that is customizable to fulfill your community’s growing and changing needs. Our Wellness Program is backed with the full support of our Live 2 B Healthy® programming, training, participation & testing reports along with marketing services.
An art embracing the mind, body and spirit – Originating in ancient China, tai chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body. Although an art with great depth of knowledge and skill, it can be easy to learn and soon delivers its health benefits. Numerous studies have shown tai chi improves muscular strength, flexibility, fitness, immunity, relieves pain and improves quality of life.
Live 2 B Healthy® began offering Live virtual fitness classes in the Spring of 2020 in response to the COVID pandemic. Originally, classes were only offered to communities that had existing classes prior to COVID. Soon, it became apparent that seniors everywhere, regardless of where they lived, were craving senior-focused fitness classes. In the fall of 2020, we began offering individual virtual fitness class memberships direct to all older adults 55+.virtual
Live 2 B Healthy® professional trainers are available for half hour sessions and can come either directly to your apartment or to the fitness room in your community . Or, maybe you or a loved one has recently had an injury or is recovering from a fall or surgery. After working with a Physical Therapist to regain mobility, the next step is to rebuild strength and flexibility in the injured area to prevent future issues.
