Our workouts

Strength & Balance

This is our most popular class format. Participants use loops, bands, and mini-balls to build muscles and coordination that helps them to perform activities in their daily life. A chair is often utilized for balance and seated exercises.

Yoga/Chair Yoga

Practicing Yoga can be very helpful for regaining flexibility and balance – both of which help to keep residents on their feet and prevent falls. Yoga sequences can also build mindfulness and may even help to decrease symptoms of depression.

Personal Private Training

Live 2 B Healthy professional trainers can come to your apartment or to the fitness room in your community for half hour sessions. If you or a loved one is recovering from a fall, injury, or surgery, the next step after physical therapy is to rebuild your strength and flexibility in the injured area to prevent future issues.

Aqua Fitness

We have certified Aqua Fitness instructors for your swimming pool. We can even provide lifeguard staff if requested.  Senior living communities can now make full use of their lovely outdoor pools when the weather is warm, without having to re-allocate staff from year-round positions.

Virtual Fitness Classes

Live 2 B Healthy began offering Live virtual fitness classes to our partner communities in the Spring of 2020 in response to the COVID pandemic. Soon, it became apparent that seniors everywhere, regardless of where they lived, were craving senior-focused fitness classes. In the fall of 2020, we began offering individual virtual fitness class memberships direct to all adults 55+.

Memory Care Fitness Classes

Our Memory Care fitness classes focus on improving balance, flexibility, and strength to help residents reduce fall risks and maintain independence. These 30-minute sessions are slower-paced, allowing for personalized support. Caregivers are welcome to join, providing extra assistance and shared moments of wellness.

Frequently asked questions

Are your trainers certified?

Yes. Our classes are taught by Certified Trainers who know the proper exercise progressions to help seniors regain their balance, strength & flexibility.

What do your trainers do differently than our Life Enrichment Director?

Not all Life Enrichment Directors are Certified Trainers. Our programs are carefully designed and proven to improve wellness through physical, social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, & intellectual factors.

Do you work on Fall Prevention?

Yes. As a pioneer in the senior falls prevention fitness movement since 2008, Live 2 B Healthy has witnessed remarkable social and physical benefits for elder care residents. We take pride in providing falls prevention fitness services to residential communities, enabling them to support a healthier lifestyle for their residents.

Our workout room is small. Do we have to have a big workout room to offer Live 2 B Healthy classes?

No. We understand that most exercise rooms are small so we usually hold our classes inside a community room rather than a workout room.

Our Life Enrichment Director teaches a class 2 days a week right now, can we keep that?

Yes. Our services perfectly complement the activities organized by a community’s Life Enrichment Director. Our classes provide seniors with additional socialization opportunities while enhancing their balance, mobility, and strength.

Can a person in a wheelchair or using a walker take this class?

Yes. At Live 2 B Healthy, our passionate team works with seniors of all shapes and ability levels, including seniors who use a wheelchair or walker.

I feel like I’m too old to exercise. Can these classes still help me?

Yes. Our program, designed by owner Cory Czepa, is designed to help seniors of all ages and ability levels. We offer enjoyable and sociable opportunities to improve strength, balance, and flexibility in a fun and easy group setting.

I can’t come to every class, can I still participate?

Yes. We encourage you to come to class whenever possible. However, there is no requirement to come to every class.

What our clients say about our classes

I have been with Live 2 B Healthy for over 3 years and really enjoy the program. The instructors are knowledgeable and fun. The owner, Kelly, is easy to work with. We have a group of about 15 regular attendees who love our instructor (he's like a son to us}. The exercise programs vary from day to day, providing us with strength, cardio, balance, stretching, and cognitive workouts. It's a great program!!!

The one big benefit I have is improved balance. When we first started I could only do like one or two seconds on one foot. With the various exercises and balance practice and training I can regularly do 15 to 20 seconds and on a good day make it to 30 seconds. And I do feel more sure-footed around curbs and stairs. Also the box squats are big and I feel they have increased my stamina and strength. It really is beneficial to exercise with others and have an encouraging trainer.

Hi , just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for our exercise classes. They have changed my life. When I moved to Applewood, I could barely walk and every thing I did was painful.
